Announcements

Covid, Board of Directors commitments and life in general have delayed the following. We are proud to acknowledge the talents and awards for two James Monroe High School students. The Spring Student Art Show Best of Show prize winner went to Sydney Phipps. The annual grant of $500 for a student who plans to continue education in the arts went to Natalie Broyles. Congratulations and we do apologize for this remiss.

Classes, activities, and programs sponsored by the Monroe Arts Alliance are open to the public. Where indicated, events may be specifically for children or for adults.

Our Youth Art Show for 2023, open to Monroe County public and home-schooled students (K-12) will be held April 22, 2023, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 pm in the Jefferson Room of the Sweet Springs Spa. Also, there will be an exhibit by Monroe County artists in the Blue Room.

We are grateful for a grant of $1,425 awarded to the Alliance by the West Virginia Commission for the Arts.
